FAQS

What size should I choose?

All of our our products are true to size. However if you're between sizes, we suggest sizing up.

Please refer to our sizing guide for all information regarding fit, size and measurements: size guide.

How do I care for my products?

To care for your loungewear please:

Machine wash on a gentle cycle.

Always wash similar colours together to avoid colour transfer.

To prolong the life of your swimwear please:

Always rinse in clear cold water, or cold hand wash in very mild soapy water to remove perspiration, suntan lotions, oils and chemicals.

Dry out of direct sunlight.

Avoid your pieces coming into contact with rough surfaces, suntan oils and lotions.

DO NOT use strong detergent, fabric softeners or bleach.

DO NOT leave rolled up wet or dry clean, iron, spin or tumble dry.

Particular care should be taken with contrasting colours in one swimsuit, colours may transfer if left bundled up wet.

Where is Light LDN made?

Light LDN is made in Bali, Indonesia. We work with family run, female led manufacturers that match our passion for sustainability and ethical practises. All the employees are paid fairly and work in safe and clean conditions.

What are your sustainability practises?

Sustainability is at the core of what we do and we ensure our products reach the highest standards possible.

All of our swimwear is made using luxurious Italian fabric made with 78% Econyl®, a recycled fibre made from recycled plastics such as abandoned fishing nets, water bottles and other post-consumer waste.

The Econyl® yarn we use is then woven with LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ which proved to be 5 times more durable when exposed to chlorine and UV than comparable swimwear fabrics under rigorous testing.

All of our packaging is made from recycled materials and/or is biodegradable. As well as the packaging, all of the labels and product accessories are sourced locally in Bali.

Who makes the products for Light LDN?

We ensure that the people who work with our fabrics are treated with care, love and receive good pay.

Our team regularly checks the manufacturers we use to ensure that the working conditions are safe, clean and that there are no children or vulnerable employees.

Our manufacturers are all owned by women, who have built these businesses themselves and take huge pride in their workforce. Whilst working on this project, we have seen our linen manufacturer double her workforce and be able to further provide for her family.

We are so grateful for the day-to-day interactions we have with our manufacturers and we are proud of the support we give them.
